Ages and level
This class is for ages 13–16. No experience is assumed - here is what happens in your first hour.
Ages are a guide rather than a rule. Sensei Ferdman decides when a student is ready to move up, and teenagers of fourteen and over often train in the adult class.
We have taught U.S.A. Goju in the same room on 65th Street since 1972, and the standard has not moved.
